Frequently Asked Questions:

Q: Who do I contact regarding joining the club?

A: The club has a committee of 5 people and all their details can be found on the contact page. All committee members are readily available and all play in the clubs various teams.

Q: Are there any specific rules regarding joining?

A: The only real rule in place is that new members are 'played in'. This basically means that one of the committee members will oversee a set you play and approve general standards of play and conduct.

Q: Is family membership available?

A: Yes - check the membership section for details regarding pricing. A family membership is classed as a couple living together with any amount of children still in full time education.

Q: Can I bring guests to club sessions?

A: Yes guests are welcome though there is a limit of 5 sessions before they would need to join. New to 2009 the club are going to be running 'taster' sessions on Sunday mornings throughout April. Anyone is welcome to come and have a go and rekindle the passion for the game, free of charge. Please check the news pages for more details.

Q: What do I wear?

A: TTC operates a casual dress code for tennis but it is advised that proper tennis shoes are worn.

Q: I'd like to contact the chairman?

A: Jackie Spencer is this years chairman so please feel free to get in touch with her regarding any club issues whatsoever

Q: Who do I contact regarding social events and the website?

A: Tim Sidwell is the new social secretary and also website administrator. Please contact him if you wish to join in social events, have new ideas or wish to add to the site.

Q: Who do I contact regarding playing matches and getting in to teams?

A: This season sees Steve Gowers take the role as league co-ordinator. Steve is regarded as one of the clubs top players and he is able to give you all the information regarding matches and the rules involved.

Q: I need to pay my membership and match fees - who do I see?

A: Karl Sloman is the club's money man - he will advise on rates, what you owe and provide the clubs bank details on request.

Q: Who is the club secretary?

A: Dave Farmer has take this role for 2009 - so please contact him for all your admin needs
